Day 45

Today I learned about the current situation of education for girls in Afghanistan. Over 3 million girls attend school there now, although they still face oppression for it, according to this and this. Watch this 10-minute TED talk to hear the story of a remarkable 22-year-old who went from dressing up as a boy under Taliban rule to being educated in the US and starting a girl’s school in Kabul.

Today I meditated for 20 minutes.

Today I acted kindly by volunteering at a charity diner, serving food to low-income locals (like on Day 26).
