Today I learned that walking in nature—breathing, observing, admiring nature—is powerfully restorative for my spirit. Well, I already knew this, but I needed a reminder; it was more important to re-learn this today than to gain factual knowledge.
Today I meditated for 20 minutes.
Today I acted compassionately by walking home an 80-year-old woman who recently broke her ribs—“Painkillers? Pff, I don’t believe in that,”—to make sure that she didn’t break more ribs on the icy sidewalks.
