Today I learned an intriguing approach to cooking that I think applies to living as well. One of my friends is passionate about cuisine and told me that he does not remember recipes; instead, he remembers why each ingredient or technique is important. It is the why that matters and is memorable, not the how. He can then creatively apply his understanding to any recipe.
Today I meditated for 25 minutes.
Today I acted compassionately by noticing that a senior on the street seemed confused/lost and stopping to chat with him, offer help, and ensure that he was alright.
